My Lover's Ascent
Extend your arms and come to me
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
Rest your tear-soaked face against my chest
For your burden is no longer your's to bear alone.
We are joined as one, two halves of the same whole.
Let us no longer suffer the torments of the day
Nor travel the haunted road by night.
Instead let us walk in peace till on eagle's wings we fly away.
