My Love, Your Pain

My blood was the purest cocaine, you could snort me all day,
If you wanna wake up dead in your shower.
I could hold a head of laughter, fight off every angel,
If you only loved to lose all your power.
So watch me make love to the blood of this goblet,
Like it's the ultimate biochemical weapon.
I'll hold you real close to the edges of Heaven,
Now you need to watch where you're steppin'.
Funny thing about Hell, it's so beautiful to you,
But it's poisoning every thread that surrounds,
Like the tears of an infant, the rose garden turns black,
Oh, you only liked everything that it drowns.

You offer a great/ different view on love and loss, heaven and hell, power and submission. You are talented.

I like the metaphor, even though it is a painful one. Good imagery. Welcome to PoetrySoup :)
