My Love Story
My heart longed for a sweetheart
A sweetheart to hold and cherish
And fate brought him to me
On that cold December day
When sunlight was watery and weak
I met him as an instructor
Of my younger brother’s fancy day ball
My life was spent in loneliness
Afraid to make any friends
For one by one
They all go away
I was on the edge of despair
And fate brought him to me
He looked into my eyes
And my soul passed in his care
We met on every Sunday
And months turned into years
My life was a long search
Search for a mate
Search for a friend
Search for some laughter
To soothe my aching heart
To ease my pain
And fate brought him to me
He taught me to trust
He caught my hand when I fell
He took me to the movies
We ate in roadside cafes
We smiled and danced and kissed
Now he is beside me
Caring for me
Being my mate, my friend
Fate brought him to me
And I shall be his forever
