My Love Lives On
I long for your tenderness at night with comfort-
Touch me with ease,
feel me in the breeze.
I’ve never hungered for anything as I have for you-
You satisfy my appetite,
make me feel just right.
You surface me like pebbles along the tidal shore-
the depths of my emotion
could fill the Atlantic Ocean.
Feel me not when you are near me, but when away-
For I am always with you,
my heart you do renew.
You quench my thirst with every desire I embrace-
Love me soft and sweet,
you make my life complete.
A fairytale come true are we since we married-
“I do” is all I longed to hear
without condition or fear.
Before you I was lost in an hourglass of sand-
Grains of time bestow hope,
with you I’ve learned to cope.
Be by my side during the great times and tough-
Perpetual loyalty,
genuine entirety.
I’ve never loved as much as I do this very moment-
Savor my every kiss,
stuck in love’s abyss.
