My Love is True
This poem, "My Love for You," is a heartfelt
expression of love and admiration. It uses
vivid natural imagery and metaphors to convey
the depth and intensity of the speaker's feelings
How bright is a rainbow in the sky?
Brighter are those you place in my heart.
And how high can the bald eagle fly?
Not as high as the joy you give me.
In a drought, what are rainy clouds worth?
Priceless as the love you shower on me.
And how far is the moon from the earth?
Farther than I’ll ever be from you.
A rainbow is high for all to see,
Like the radiance you shine on all.
The eagle flies miles above the trees,
Like my heart soars in your steadfast love.
Rainy clouds don’t always bring sadness,
For your sunshine turns all to gladness.
The moon bids a sweet romance to thrive.
When in your arms I am so alive.
You’ve placed rainbows of hope in my heart.
Only you can make my sad heart glow.
Your strength gave me a wondrous new start,
And causes me like the eagle soar.
I feel free to share my life with you.
Moonbeams declare that my love is true.
Yet as lofty as all these glad thoughts
They can’t convey how much I love you
