My Love
Can you smile to light up my day?
For when you look at me, time surrenders and I freeze — captive to a beauty so sovereign, so unmatched, it rewrites the meaning of beholding.
You are my world complete, the dream that stepped out of slumber and into my waking hours. You are the prayer I whispered into empty nights, now answered in flesh and breath.
You are the door that opened when every wall closed in, the window that taught my soul to see sky again, the mirror through which I finally recognized myself whole, worthy, known.
My sunshine, my happiness, my joy. With you, it feels as though the weight of all delight has settled upon my shoulders, and yet it does not crush me — it crowns me.
I tremble to wonder what ruin my life would be had your path not crossed mine; what deserts I would still wander if your love had not become my oasis.
And you are not ashamed of me. You speak my name without lowering your voice. In a world that trades loyalty for convenience, you chose to stand beside me, and in doing so, made a hero of a man who once doubted he could be one.
You are my love portion, measured by heaven and poured without restraint. My soulmate, stitched into the fabric of my being before time began. My angel in human form, whose wings are hidden in the way you carry my burdens as if they were feathers.
I love with a sacred jealousy not to confine you, but to guard what is holy. You are my passion and my need, the quiet fire that keeps my purpose burning. The one for whom I would step into the path of a bullet, and count it gain to know you still draw breath.
So rise, my love, and be all you were created to be. Because loving you has taught me this: when one heart dares to believe in another, both become unbreakable.
You did not just come into my life. You resurrected it.
