“Lost, special treasures truly break our hearts- more so, those honed by our creative arts .” _by Poet So sad the poems of my youth are gone- the ones I wrote so many years ago. I married young, and to my love was drawn to move down South- some items left to stow. A box filled up with thoughts that sang like songs- stored carefully, all safe on the third floor; no sign on it to say where it belongs- was whisked away as trash forevermore. Our home, declared as theirs by New York State; a river's bridge was in their plans to build. My parents had to vacate by their date; attending to some boxes– unfulfilled. My poems honored family and love- I know that God remembers from above.

Sandra, I am drawn to your poem. Memories are so important when tangible evidence is whisked away. Congratulations! :)
