Cool Acrostic message, Gershon. Bringing awareness to a subject that is always relevant. Your pen strokes are logic airtight. Cool dap poem. (Dap means ghetto cool ... so this poem is doubly cool, Jewish pride guy.

having worked in schools for over 18 years I applaud you for your fabulous acrostic - adding this gem to my faves - wish I'd had a teacher like you!:-) hugs Jan xx

Thank you so much for the FAVE, Jan...and your wish has come true, by the way: You and I are each other's teachers, in so many ways. So, you 'have a teacher like me,' just as I have a teacher like you!! ---And ain't we got fun!! :) gw

Oh the things, really good teachers could accomplish if their hands weren't so tied.

I guess I'm a lucky teacher, as my hands have never been tied. Of course, I've never worked in a public school. Private schools and colleges tend to give teachers a lot more leeway. Lucky me. :) gw

Went straight to my FAVs list. Of course I am guessing you knew it would have to.

I guessed only that you would like it, Caren, because it speaks to who you are as a great and an 'unorthodox' teacher, i.e., a true teacher. That it would be a FAVE---that's always an honor, and always a reason to thank you, who FAVed it, to thank my wife, who lets me write this meshuginah (crazy) stuff, and to God, for giving me just enough health to do so. :) gw

Our children's education should be valued and given more respect and resources, as should our teachers - I'm with you!

Let's march! For once, a positive march: Not protesting or lamenting anything...just promoting a real vision of education. :) gw
