My Life Without You

A World without you is the one with space. Whenever and wherever I desire I may pace. A world in which at many things I stare, But everything is meaningless 'cause you're not there. A Day without you doesn't change its name The sun goes up and down just the same And I can find so many things to do, But none are as important as a thought of you. An Hour without you is just as long A melody with words remains to be a song Which maybe beautiful, but when you're not around It has no beat, no meaning, and no sound. A Minute without you still rushes by. I look around and there's only I, I, I ... The echoes of my own words bounce off my weary mind I know you're right, I know - I lied, I was so stupid and so blind. A Second without you - by now is gone. Another one, another one, another one... Sometimes I wish for them to disappear - They bring too many thoughts and make things so unclear: I'm wrong, I'm right, I'm mean, I'm kind, I know, I can't make up my mind; I'm warm, I'm cold, I'm mad, I'm dear, Is it my anger or my fear? There are things that I can't explain They're not quite simple, not so plain. But if you hear a sudden, steady beat, Just know that it's my heart, and you're a part of it. 1999 © Copyright
