In eight lines you have done almost the impossible; now I feel that we all KNOW you! Well done, my friend!

Thanks, Caren. And it's all true except for the misleading part about Dublin. It is true too except it is in Georgia, not Ireland.

^WWW^ I just had to let you know that I laughed at your response. What a fun reply it is. I tease people by just saying I was born in Dublin. Their natural assumption is Ireland. When they learn that I was born on St. Patrick's Day, it really blows their mind. Perhaps I shouldn't be such a trickster, but it is all in fun. I appreciate your support and your friendship.

Thanks for your delightful response. My story seems deceptive and it causes people to draw conclusions. There is truth in it as seen in my other response to you. I consider you to be one of my greatest Soup friends and glad for the humorous response.

My response could be, Aye, ye might say that, and at the age of 75 I can still do an Irish Jig with the best of 'em. I only need my shillelagh to fight off the damsels rather than help me walk. Truth is, I'm a country boy from Georgia and a town named Dublin. I was born on St. Patrick's Day, I'm 75 and still love to dance -- with two 1st place wins in twist contests -- one at age 17 and the other at age 67 -- true story. The only woman in my life is my wife, and my shillelagh stands in the corner for when my gait becomes unsteady.

Wow, you crammed a life time into those few lines. Born in Dublin, are your family Irish ? My parents were from Co Clare on west coast. Good luck. Tom

Tom, I tease a lot of people with the statement of being born in Dublin. While it is a true statement, the fact is it was not in Ireland that I was born, it was Dublin, Georgia. It really was Saint Patrick's Day, and Ireland is on my 'bucket list'. I may be of Irish descent, but I never really checked.
