My Legs In Water But Thoughts Somewhere

Whooshing waves as runs and plays
Sprinkling its part here and there
I lay amid the tippling sound
My legs in water, but thoughts somewhere.

The clouds bathing in sun’s rays
Makes the image of familiar objects
The wind blowing from left to right
Inspiring the leaves to start a new subject.

The flowers as they blush away from wind
When the wind steals their fragrance
To dispose it off to the grass
Who lie lonely on the ground, at a distance…

Where I lie with my eyes wide open
My legs in water, but thoughts somewhere
I see the reflection of my thoughts in water
And besides me, I see him there…

This poem beautifully captures the essence of a lasting, faithful marriage, portraying it as a journey of love, growth, and mutual support. The lines emphasize the deep connection shared between two people, grounded in both earthly companionship and divine guidance. The idea that love matures over time, evolving into a deeper, more intimate bond, is powerfully conveyed. The mention of God’s guidance and the commitment to glorify Him together reinforces the spiritual foundation of the relationship, highlighting how love, faithfulness, and devotion intertwine. It is a heartfelt reminder of the sacred nature of true partnership.

This poem is a serene journey through nature's gentle symphony, blending vivid imagery with introspection. The interplay between the external world—the waves, wind, and flowers—and the internal realm of wandering thoughts creates a beautiful tension. The tender moment of seeing "him there" beside the speaker adds a layer of quiet longing and connection, making the piece both meditative and deeply emotional. It captures the timeless dance between presence and reverie with grace and depth.
