Notes About The Poem

For Dilly Dally's A Bit Of Rough Poetry Contest

My Kind of Apple - edited to show right form

I love to hear him laugh - this student not brilliant, but looking like a sweet member of Menudo. Maybe it's the way he laughs like me. . . heartily, or maybe it is just because his laughter reassures me I'm still funny.

Andrea, cute poem of introspection and metacognition. It's great to see how someone in a poem is thinking about something, and you get us inside the person's head. Smiling!

I love how you diplomaticly bring the point home that being clever does not always win the day. Having the ability to make people laugh or genuinely laugh with them, counts for something. EQ is more important than IQ. Congratulations on your placement, Andrea.

Dear Andrea, So well expressed, and I find it to be amusing, especially as you do a comparison and introspection of the laughs with the student. - Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

thanks, Daniel. I can't remember the kid exactly any more, it was so long ago. I just recall he was so sweet and cute how he laughed.

Your sense of humour is cool sweet andrea, i wanted to do an etheree too for this contest but ended up just doing free verse. I love the way youv written this and how youve presented too: i think you accidentally pressed acrostic for form of poetry for this. Your students are lucky to have you as a teacher. Pleasure reading this. Sending you light always
