My Journey Into 2023

As I look to 2023 I remember these, Last three years taught me so many things. I realize I am stronger than I thought. I am braver than I know. When I look in the mirror, I see the face of courage. The courage to never quit, Even when I thought it was hopeless. The knowledge of my strengths and weaknesses. Through my blood, sweat and tears, I have overcome this disability, All because of a nasty little spider, That literally brought me to my knees. Hearing the words paraplegic was so scary. Yet, I see the light and I realize, The spider did not win. I am a warrior. I am a survivor. I am walking. So 2023 will indeed be a very good year for me. I will finally be free, Able to walk out of the same hospital, Where my metal prison on wheels, Guided me back in Jan. 2019.

I'm getting ready for 2024. Not much has changed; I'm still in the hospital, but at least I can walk a little. My left knee is messed up, and I am seeing an ortho on the 3rd of January. So, we'll see. I hope all is well with you. Happy New Year.

Yes, the brown recluse. The black widow can also paralyze you. I was talking to someone from AT&T and she told me her best friend got bit by a brown recluse and was dead 1 month later. If you do not get medical treatment you can die from the bite. That is indeed one nasty spider.
