My Inauguration Prayer

To my redneck father, who art in Heaven. I dedicate this day to you. Growing up with your "Archie Bunker" ways, you would never believe this day! A black man, really is President. I can see you rolling in your grave, telling me, I best behave! "A black President", no you can't! I say, "Dear Dad, we have", and on this day, he will be sworn in. For us all to stand together, America again shall win. Dad, I know you had your reasons, but you brought me into a world that's changed. Now we have united ways, and brand new seasons. I will stand proud to share this day. America can't win the other way. Dad, you taught me" United we stand, divided we fall." Well together, change has come down the Washington hall. The "White House" has a black President. Barrack H. Obama, with strong mind and good will was God sent. Dear Dad, I love you so, But the "old ways", have got to go! United we stand, you said it right! Daddy, you had to know, as you fought for our Nation in war. Good change would come to our shore. Maybe now, we can let go of that ugly beast. Daddy dear, may you rest in peace. Maybe someday, hate and war, too will decease.
