My Impression In the Dune

My life is like a depression
Or a crater on the moon
Maybe even like a recession
Even an impression in a dune

Sometimes I try to climb
From deep down in the pit
I am trapped within the slime
Right here where I sit

Wicked are some thoughts
That brew within a beast
They are so many spots
You think they are the least

The walls of thought get steeper
I still try climbing up the side
To look down it gets deeper
Whoops enjoy the ride

Once I reach the bottom
Of my downward plunge
Will I even try to bother
To make just one last lunge

I slide down in depression
In my crater on my moon
Into my own recession
My impression in the dune

It is sometimes hard to get out of the rut we place ourselves in. Nice write I enjoyed the read.
