My Hunger For God's Approval
I do hunger and yearn for the Almighty’s righteousness
To enjoy His offered relationship-graciousness
Only He can fill my soul’s grievous emptiness
Midst my heart’s need for total forgiveness
With His redemption-completeness.
I now hunger for God’s approval that brings Him glory
By faith’s appetite, vanquishing unbelief-misery…
Trusting His promises of enriching treasury
In proclaiming His Gospel story
I reach-out by His victory!
I earnestly hunger for the Lord’s commendation
Propelled by His prudence in my motivation
Constraining me toward holiness-direction
To love Him with sincere devotion
Satisfied by His compassion.
I indeed hunger for the Saviour’s strength toward service endurance
Believing that His omnipotence girds my weakness-appearance
Privileged am I to labour through His power’s assurance
Defying my arrogance as well as ignorance
In my gratitude’s exuberance.
I'm always hungering for Christ’s favor in my spiritual fulfillment
Cognizant that He delights in my Spirit-driven accomplishment;
His divine admonition gears me to His kingdom advancement
Including His merciful rebuke, reproof and chastisement
Upholding my stewardship commitment.
*Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
