My Home

My Home

The vast open space calls to my heart,
longing for its return.

Rustling winds dance along the sea torn rocks
singing a song of memories gone by.

Lulled by the lapping waves,

Rising
                and
                            falling.

With each heave and roll come moments of –

Joy,

Happiness,

Peacefulness.

It is easy to see past the beauty when it stares you in the face every day,
but when you leave, you long for those moments.

Ones that…
clear your mind,
fill your heart
and complete your soul.

Distance may separate me

but my heartstrings will always connect me to

Home.
