My Home

Whenever I need to stay away for just the shortest time The feeling of loss pervades my soul so essential are you to my psyche When waking at dawn you fill me with awe your ever changing splendour truly takes my breath away To be parted from you for just a day instils feelings of sadness and loss So when turning the corner upon my return my heart skips a beat overflowing with joy A shimmering light gleams down from above enhancing kaleidoscopic hues So different you look each day each night drawing me close you envelop my soul with exquisite beauty and ever changing moods Living beside you is all I desire The voice of your waves your ebb and your flow When I am with you I am home... Yes Elizabeth, I really could never live anywhere else now. Each day it looks different and that is what I love about it - every day I see the sea it takes my breathe away. Today with the sun shining down it looked like a million diamonds sparkling on the surface -- magical! Thank you for your comments Elizabeth, with kindest thoughts Ann xx

You are so lucky to live by the sea Ann. We left the city 25 years ago and moved to the countryside, I wish now we'd kept going until we hit the coast. Good luck. Tom

Thank you Tom, yes I am so very lucky to live by the sea. Originally from Brighton & Hove, we lived in Kent for many years, but eventually the pull become so strong we could ignore it no longer and moved here in 2006. I have just returned from my morning stroll and the sea looks stunningly beautiful - like a million diamonds sparkling on the surface. With kindest thoughts Ann xx

You know its changing moods..ebb and flow..and comfort you find..in its soothing sounds. You are blessed to live near the sea that you adore. Enjoyed the read, Ann..so heartfelt..you gave the sea voice and emotions...truly you are home, in its company.

Thank you so much Jan. Yes I have always adored the sea and as I got older I had such a strong desire to live beside her and now I do. Both Frank and I are Pisceans and that is of course another reason I am sure. So now when I travel inland, on my return I feel such a powerful feeling of 'home' as my poem says. Our performance had to be cancelled in the end, because of the weather, which was such a shame, but hopefully we will perform at a later date. I hope your weather was not too inclement. With kindest thoughts Ann xx
