My Heart Yearns

My heart yearns to build a bridge in this distance between you and I
To take a pen and scroll my words for you to see in the sky
My heart yearns for you to know these special thoughts, I do
Even if it is hard to understand them, as I stand before you
Today, flowers sway together in a celebration for some reason
Even in the arrival of cold air with the changes of this season
My heart yearns to sing, even after so many years, so very long
Because you always bring me the tune of this inspiring song
