My Heart Wonders Why

In a turn of a second my life changed
empty, lost, longing, looking
into a wonderful, effortless loving world
a sharing , caring, loving, dreaming, acceptance
and to overlook any short comings
You brought life back into me
Sharing your world , ideas of blue skies, sunny days
green grass waving in the wind

But now, silence, uncertainty
wonderings of why
what changed so fast
I am the same person of days, even hours ago
the same caring girl
I opened my heart and soul
of longing to show you my love, my life, my world

My heart wonders why

Did the skies turn to gray?
Did the grass turn to brown ?
Did the idea of loving me frighten you?

My heart wonders why

For a man of many words
silence over comes
the words do not flow
You came into my life like the sudden breeze
but just as fast you left me alone

My heart wonders why
