My Heart Rode On the Wind

My heart rode on the wind

It blew far to the north

Turned around and blew to the south

It blew to the east with the rising sun

And back to the west in the setting sun

It blew the world over

But I could not find you

It whispered and it gave a sigh

It howled and it cried

Searching unrelentlessly

It climbed the highest mountain

It searched the valleys below

It crossed the oceans and seas

Wondering where you could be

My heart rode on the wind

It searched for eternity

But I could not find thee

How sad you could not find him, Phyllis. But the search was a riveting journey for the reader. Beautifully written! Love, Carolyn

Well, 'Christ' once said to a phrisee named Nicodemus, "that the Holy spirit is like the wind. You never know when its going to come; or where its coming from; or where it goes?"~"Hello Precious Phyllis Babcock!!"~I hope thatb You & Yours are doing wonderfully dear lady!!?~And I truly enjoyed this well written and searching write here dear!!~It almost seems to be a message of encouragement unto others, to venture upon that journey themselves!!?~"My Love & Always To 'You & Your Loves,' John!":)

Oh Phyllis, there is such beauty here within the deep sadness and searching. What a magnificent write! A journey! I was held captive and enchanted until the ending so heartbreaking. Thank you so much for your kind comment. Often lately I cannot find the time, so I hope you will forgive me when I miss a poem or two. And about Fred, too funny! Warmest wishes always. Love, Shar
