my heart is a secret garden

my heart is a secret garden  . . . 
          gone to the weeds . . . . when he left this world
        so many times I have asked God why ~
      why, why is my love a name engraved
            yet, still loved deeply
forevermore

          ~  we had a wonderful life planned perfectly
but his destiny was written 
        and nothing could change his journey  ~ 

      though, I was still young when my love died
         I did not seek out another . . . . my heart is a secret garden
                          I tend it with care and my flowers bloom
    we had a love that is endless
        that no time or realm could break
             ever, ever . . . .

~he holds my heart and always will
         no other could ever take his place in my life
so, I am in love with a ghost . . .  true  ~

and you think he cannot talk to me, touch me
        in dreams we are together again
           when I weep_   I feel his finger wipe my tears
      I often feel his stroke on my hair (he loved my hair)
                   his cold kiss upon my lips
         he always loved my poetry . . . .  and I feel him close
     encouraging me  'to write' . . . .

           ~  oh yes, there are days when muse is missing
when I stare at a white page empty
       then, the one holding my heart tells me . . .  .  just try
. . . . and I do it for him ~ 
               I often read him my poems 
      when I visit his eternal tomb . . .  where he waits under
a weeping willow tree ~

His widow found out he died at such a young age, at the height of popularity by not being told in person but through the media. She lost her one true love and the baby in her womb.
