My heart is a rock

Try taunt me with love, But I'm not as dove, Being gentle, not my strength, Better not to knock, My heart's like a rock, Better keep me at arm's length. Few opened my soul, But love not their goal, Fine friendship they instead sought; That, a lot, I'll give, As long as I live, Since true love can't just be bought.

Agree that true love can’t be bought. But it is worth living for. I like your poem and feel your heart is indeed softer than a rock. Hugs
