My Heart and I

I told it 'no'
But it wouldn't listen.
My silly heart,
It thinks it's missin'
Something from
A long time past.
Something that
Never seems to last.
'Never again'
I told my heart.
'Take a chance'
It did impart.
We're arguing
My heart and I.
I say 'no'.
It says 'try'.
Who will win?
I don't know.
Maybe I'll try
But I'll take it slow.

Who will win? It's unknown to me. Maybe I'll try, but I'll take it slowly. Did you ever lose an argument with your heart? This is easy to read and understand with the words you have chosen.
