My Grandmother's Love
My Grandmother's Love
She is gone from my life
Oh, how I miss her; it is true
Her loving face still stays with me
As if ever young, fresh and new
As a child I was forever near her
My memories filled with her tender care
As an adult many miles were between us
But her presence could be felt everywhere
She left me all too suddenly
I never thought that she could really die
It seemed that she would be with me forever
I never even had a chance to say goodbye
My children grew to love her as I did
Their memories, too, will remain vivid and clear
Grandma, how I miss you so deeply
Your kind and loving spirit I'll hold dear.
