Hi Anne-Lise so sad you didn't have the close love of your grandparents 😢 💔 I guess I was blessed I was closer to my grandparents than my parents spent alot of time staying with them. I called them gran and papa. My uncle Ian lived with them he wrote poetry for everyone he had severe learning difficulties but in these times was all classed as mental health. Put in mental asylums which was awful injustice. I found alot of his poems and had a cry reading them. One he wrote me thanking me for going for grans shopping in the snow so tender I sobbed 😭 hugzzz ✍️🫂🦋💕💋

I wish I had been this close with my grandmother's. I think my relationships with three of my grandkids is much more open than I had with my maternal grandma. I kind of act like a child myself so it's easier to relate to my grandkids. My grandparents were staid and old fashioned. Maybe was the times I grew up in. Nicely done here.
