My God, Thank You For Hearing My Groaning

January 15 Scripture Meditations Based on Exodus 1-4 Key Verse – Exodus 2:24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR HEARING MY GROANING Thank You for hearing my groaning midst my trials’ pain As well as my sin-bondage cry for Your pardon-reign And my need for faith-increase against doubts’ strain For me to abound in good works along kindness’ terrain. Thank You for hearing my groaning for Your deliverance As well as my call for Your comfort’s assurance And my prayer for patience-endurance For me to pursue after holiness-perseverance. Thank You for hearing my groaning because of discouragement As well as my plea for Your inspiring merriment And my plight for joy-filled contentment For me to dwell in Your presence of gracious settlement. Thank You for hearing my groaning due to health-affliction As well as my longing for Your compassion And my desire for guilt-cleansing and conscience-purification For me to overcome doubts with Your “I AM THAT I AM” declaration. Thank You for hearing my groaning against crisis’ noise As well as my anxiousness for Your caring voice And my request for wellness along welfare choice For me to enjoy blessings with my grateful poise. Thank You for hearing my groaning that yearns for wise learning As well as my questions, answered by Your teachings’ meaning And my seeking for truth’s enlightening For me to please You while worshipping with love’s shining.
