My God, Thank You For Hearing My Groaning
January 15 Scripture Meditations Based on Exodus 1-4
Key Verse – Exodus 2:24 And God heard their groaning, and God
remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR HEARING MY GROANING
Thank You for hearing my groaning midst my trials’ pain
As well as my sin-bondage cry for Your pardon-reign
And my need for faith-increase against doubts’ strain
For me to abound in good works along kindness’ terrain.
Thank You for hearing my groaning for Your deliverance
As well as my call for Your comfort’s assurance
And my prayer for patience-endurance
For me to pursue after holiness-perseverance.
Thank You for hearing my groaning because of discouragement
As well as my plea for Your inspiring merriment
And my plight for joy-filled contentment
For me to dwell in Your presence of gracious settlement.
Thank You for hearing my groaning due to health-affliction
As well as my longing for Your compassion
And my desire for guilt-cleansing and conscience-purification
For me to overcome doubts with Your “I AM THAT I AM” declaration.
Thank You for hearing my groaning against crisis’ noise
As well as my anxiousness for Your caring voice
And my request for wellness along welfare choice
For me to enjoy blessings with my grateful poise.
Thank You for hearing my groaning that yearns for wise learning
As well as my questions, answered by Your teachings’ meaning
And my seeking for truth’s enlightening
For me to please You while worshipping with love’s shining.
