My God, Thank You For Commanding Your Lovingkindness Toward Me
May 7 Scripture Meditations Based on Psalms 42-45
Key Verse – Psalm 42:8 Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR COMMANDING YOUR
LOVINGKINDNESS TOWARD ME
Thank You for commanding Your lovingkindness toward me every day…
Even though I’m weak to pray
Because of my sinfulness exposed by Your holiness’ x-ray
Your caring concern is with me all along the way.
Thank You for commanding Your lovingkindness toward me at night…
Even though I’m blinded by worldliness’ sight
Because of my carnality’s blight
Your constant forgiveness gives me delight.
Thank You for commanding Your lovingkindness toward me midst affliction…
Even though I’m guilty with distressful lamentation
Because of my transgression
Your unfailing gentleness serves as exhortation and admonition.
Thank You for commanding Your lovingkindness toward me despite trial…
Even though I’m unworthy of grand dealing, divinely royal
Because of my denial and betrayal
Your compassionate cheerfulness encourages me with discipling portrayal.
Thank You for commanding Your lovingkindness toward me in my difficulty…
Even though I’m doubt-filled with uncertainty
Because of my frailty
Your strengthening might upholds me for faith’s stability.
Thank You for commanding Your lovingkindness toward along my struggling…
Even though I’m frustrated, yielding to pride’s pulling
Because of my selfishness-pushed failing
Your ready comfort lifts me against fatal falling.
