My Getaway

How I enjoy being wrapped up real tight Warmly curled up in a ball, Visiting Dreamland so deep in the night, Having no care at all! Warmly curled up, no noise allowed, There in my cozy bed; Blankets on top, the pillow a cloud Under my weary head. Then comes the sun, and it’s time to rise, Get up and greet the day. But how I love to again close my eyes – Dreamland’s my getaway! For Nikko's contest: "Your Snooze/ You Choose"

Congratulations on your success in the contest, Andrea. This is a really cute poem -- dreamland for me is usually a gateway to nightmares, not a getaway. LOL And, yes, there are quite a few nice Catholics on this site. Many Italians and Irish are Catholic, but we mixed breeds hold onto the faith too. Love, Carolyn

Aha, so this was yours--I was totally wrong, ;)!! but reading this, I couldn’t help but want to snuggle back in bed, haha—you’ve made that getaway of yours sound very appealing and I really enjoyed this too! I really loved your 2nd line with your pillow as a cloud--dreamy, dreamy indeed--congrats, this wonderful getaway of yours led you to 7th heaven with Joe, dear Andrea ^_^!! & how uncanny is that?? you shared your placement with a guy named Joe!! didn't realize that til now! --nikko :)

Hi Andrea, well deduced (from the 'loo' ref.) Yes I'm in England. I don't want to wish the summer away, but I'm looking forward to seeing your Christmas poems. Glad you enjoyed 'Rudolph Gets the Job' ~ TTYS Sharon :)

Good one here Andrea, Thanks for your comment. Your right, now that you pointed it out, I know that it is not the word I meant to use, lose is the word. The reason I did that is, I used loose in a limerick on my new contest and just got stuck on the word. Lol. Agape, Moses
