My Georgia Vision

In my dreams he stands.
Eyes of Gray, peering through the night
The blue of his uniform shining
In the light
Drums of battle banging near him.
As cannons blast around him.
In my dreams he speaks to me.
Telling me to come home.
I see him when I drive.
I see him on the road.
standing at the entrance to some portal
of a life gone by.
Who is this man?
This Georgia soldier?
I see.
