My Genuine 'Pet Hate'

A pet hate that sure makes me heave -
dog faeces some pet owners leave
I could write a thesis
on smelly dog faeces ...
it’s easy enough to retrieve!

When Fido’s tail begins to wag
please carry a poop scoop or bag
You need to bend down
to pick up its ‘brown’ ...
clean pavements, I don’t need to nag!

Its quite disgusting, and not only on pavements but right by the edge of the sea or in parks. The same happens with cars having a take away in the car and throwing their rubbish out of the window! Irresponsibility lurks worldwide! Great write Jan, Hugs, Jennifer.

we have a wonderful organisation called 'beach buddies; and they do a fab job cleaning the beaches but people are now more litter aware and pick it up from everywhere so the message is spreading... as for dog muck don't tempt me as to what I'd like to do with that lol :-) hugs Jan xx

Boy I am with you there Jan. You get your point across perfectly in these Limericks! Certain people are not deserving of a pet at all. Especially the kind who keep a dog chained and don't clean up after it...only using it for a guard dog. Bravo! : ) xxoo

Great write, Jan, and I concur with your message. (For that and many other reasons - barking for example - is why I have a cat - he takes care of such things with no bother to me!!!!!) I predict this one will be at the top o' the winner's list - BoB

In Burbank, California, the City supplies sacks and places to dispose of it, yet petowners claim they can't bend over to pick it up; so why are the allowed pets if they can not take care of them? Another WELL DONE, JAN! Aloha! Rico

Gosh Rico that's a worry if they can't bend to scoop the poop ... how do they bend to put the feeding dish on the floor which creates the poop in the first place!:-( hugs Jan xx
