My Generation

Splintered saffron and shattered skies; Reflecting a generation that forgot their youth and burned the coda written before they turned cynical and scarred; Until necessity reminded them how to dream; With everything they have; Busted and battered blue skies My generation was built on broken rules and rewrote what was already written before the world became scared and scorned determined to swallow budding dreams; with everything it has; Never willing to follow a poor vision dismantled authority with our questions; I guess it’s up to my generation to change the game again and remind the world to dream with everything we have.
