My Garden of Love

Welcome to my garden of love, Pomegranates hanging from 'bove, Peaches and apples do surround Roses and dahlias abound, Honeysuckle grows on the vine, With gooseberries and cherries fine, Lemons sprout and lilies grow tall, As wisteria lines the wall, You can sit amid mangoes sweet, Read a nice book or have a treat, Under the shade of tall brown trees, Amidst flowers, where blows the breeze, Welcome to my garden of love, Here visits the silver white dove, You'll enjoy to your heart's content, And that is my garden's intent. 06.12.2020

Oh Pomegranates! I loved them as a child. We ate them at recess. And gooseberry pie! You have a special garden, Jo. Congratulations on your win!

What is it about garden poetry like this that 1) Makes me want to be in the garden described and 2) Feel as if I've been transported there through the writing anyway? Congratulations Jo. A great write. Cheers - Gary

This poem is so lovely I wanted it to go on and on Jo. Were you too late to enter this in the contest? It would have been perfect for it. My modem broke down and I missed a few days here. We had no T.V. or internet. I missed a few contests I would have loved to enter. I love the imagery in this gem and the inspiration I felt reading it. Gorgeous! Blessings xxoo
