My Garden

Out beyond the fence lies my empty garden,
where once flourishing with flowers and vegetables
it now remains barren.

I stare upon this garden with pure dream and hope
of another day to come when I can be planting
new life in the soil.

I first must till the area and remove unwanted growth,
loosen up the soil and within it place some bulbs,
water and allow sun to reveal their beauty.

As in life, gardens can flourish, with proper nourishment.
They can be used now or in preparation of the tomorrow.
Plant and reap what you sow.
