Gummy Santa’s adorning
My fruitcake and dates
Inside with candied cherries, 
raisins, walnuts and
Oranges, floating 
Fondant red,
Bliss!

The word fondant, in French, means "melting," coming from same root as fondue and foundry. Interesting

Yes, thanks. This is the sugary cake fondant; you can sculpt it into a bow or whatever on a cake. It's kind of fun.

I do too but, I like it with some cake inside; not those candied bars you get at the stores. My Mom had a great recipe also. Hers had cake too. Glad you stopped by.
