My Friend's Woman

This little woman I cannot resist.
Each day, she looks so attractive to me.
She made it to number one on my list.
She is as beautiful as one can be.
How can a woman have so much beauty?
Believe me, that girl is the living end.
If you miss her, you are too blind to see.
The trouble is, she belongs to my friend.

I have a love note that I want to send.
How can I ever get her attention?
I want to stay on good terms with my friend.
Thinking of that causes apprehension.
A friend or a lover, what is worth more?
This is strange territory I explore.

Very well written, Robert. I would never go after the mate of a friend. To me the friendship is to valuable and loyalty is an important quality in any relationship. Congratulations on your win in Dr. Ram's contest! Love, Carolyn

AH the temptation but sometimes all is not what it seems. Good friends are hard to find in life and my bet will be with the friend to the end. phyl

If this poem is about real life, you tread in dangerous waters, my friend. Women can come and go like the wind, but true friends are for life........George
