My Friend Superman

I once knew a man who called me his friend, tall like Clark Kent, I called him Superman... Living out life on this land we call home, not knowing that soon, an end would be known.. He lived each day like an adventure, some fast and some slow, and loved every minute, a bond would be grown.. Living large, loving life, and loved those around him, such charm and charisma, friends would surround him.. This all too short journey on earth we call life, to make such an acquaintance, we're lucky and blessed, for time in their light.. His life was grand, his character like a Redwood, stood tall and strong, though calm, beside you, like a friend would.. I pray that you all have a friend such as mine, one as grand as a mountain, you will keep for all time, don't take them for granted, immortal we're not, tell them you love them, if you think that you aught.. I will see you again my friend, until then, I will journey this life with the same passion and zen, loving life, laughing often, as you taught us back when,.. Godspeed my pal Kent, .. Rest in peace Superman..
