My Friend
You make me laugh, you make me try
You comfort me and wipe my eye
When days are dark and friends are few
Saddened truths won’t misconstrue
And cannot comprehend - the presence of my friend
Dam levels rise with tears I cry
Evaporate then start to dry
And cloud with grey the skies once blue
With rainy days, the oceans too
In greatness can’t pretend - to ever replace a friend
Out of place and out of breath, reaching for the sky
Breaking boundaries, leaping fishes spread their wings to fly
Wish me well and make things new
Say “adieu”, I’ll pray for you
Until the furthest end - you’ll be my only friend
Your over flowing love supply
Supporting roles both you and I
Time pass us by, the years…it flew
You always knew just what to do
Immortal values doth defend – my truest, closest friend
When obstacles seek to deny
Ambitions always way too high
You guide me right while staying true
You push and pull to get me through
Your moral valor shall transcend – depend on me my friend
