My First Love (My First Poem)

There sits my love at the back of the room
Like a lovely rose that is in perfect bloom

Her lovely brown eyes fills up my soul
She is the only one who can make me whole

Every now and then I steal a glance
Her wondrous beauty just puts me in a trance

And though she only wants to be my friend
I know I will love her 'til the end

She is the only one that my heart beats for
The one I will love forevermore

I love this one, John. No fuzzy edges, just a statement from your great heart, and beautiful soul. The rhyme is fluid, and the love flows with your words. You make me smile (a glowing smile). You are strong and courageous...your passion follows suit. A well loved man by many, your words evoke how countless might feel about their 'first love'. I wish you great happiness, John! God bless you and this 'lovely rose'. Love you, Mikki

Hi John. This is so beautiful in its simplicity. Can feel the real chemistry of love here. Can't help but wonder, was she your forevermore love? A joy to read. Love, Shar
