My First Denial

Flowing love and fountain of smiles, A trusting hand to travel for miles, The moment he caught my finger, Seven steps and vows in presence of sacred fire, Exchange of garlands and tying of Taali, So many ceremonies and mantras so holy, Amidst thousands of crowd, He promised so loud, Until death us depart, Two souls joins to paint life's art, Not my half my better half, I gave me,myself, With glowing beauty and pouring love, So many dreams flying like dove, I entered his room for a start, But the truth he told me broke my heart, His first love over the phone, He had planned to leave me alone. 25 July,2016 'Denial' poetry contest

A very beautiful written poem, I believe that at first you re talking about mariage as in hindu culture you took seven circles, the poem is very nice especially the end in which the husband plan to leave his wife however recently he has taken vows of living forever however I m new on this site and would really appreciate if you could find time to read my poems and give your honest reviews about them

Very heartfelt and emotionally so sad, Madhupriya. I do hope it is fiction, but you touched my heart with sympathy regardless. Best wishes for the contest. 7 Hugs, Sandra
