My Favorite Sport

My favorite sport is that of football
Now, I am an American if you do recall
So please understand
We can use our hands
And not get a red card if our opponent should fall

Congratulations on winning with this entry. The one advantage of soccer is a lot of expensive and bulky equipment is not needed. Basically, all you need is a ball.
