My Fantasy

In my fantasy, I leave my home And stroll down several blocks. I stop at H & M to see The t-shirts and the socks. At Barnes & Noble, I peruse The kids’ books on display For I will see my grandkids Sometime later in the day. If Fairway’s not too crowded I pop in to get my fix Of their bagels, bags of coffee And some random munchie picks. I may stop in at CVS; My coupon’s on my card And then I’ll head back home Along a bustling boulevard. No yachts, no jewels, no lottery – Is it too much to ask To have my former life again? (I’ll even wear a mask!)

I too want my former life back; I want that very very much! Covid 19 - please go away, but do not come back another day.

It's amazing the simple little things that one takes for granted ... the virus (despite it's ugliness) at the very least, reminds us of that little gift too often shoved to the side: gratitude. We are all in the same boat, Ilene. Regards ... Tim.

If everyone had behaved as if they had the virus and did not want to infect anyone else in February, your fantasy could have come true in March! Aloha! Rico

A woman's shopping --- endless fairway for a man. NOT too much to ask for, methinks. :) gw

Fine write ilene, yes so many of us would fantasise the same way, being in Scotland it's interesting to read of your shops which I wouldn't know though I've heard of Barnes & Noble. Keep safe and well, Gordon

The thing I miss most of all is seeing mum and friends but it will happen again we just have to hold on to the hope it will not be too long before we will be reunited with our loved ones and the other things we miss Ilene, we have had 1 new case in 3 days so it is looking positive here that the lock down conditions have been worth it:-) hugs jan xx
