My Everyday Blessing
In our village, we are only two of us.
She's white eyes, I have brown eyes.
She's chocolate, I am dark.
When she smiles, in my world time freezes.
Her smile teaches my smile how to smile.
Our pair is delicate.
I have her for fate.
When she possed for the camera,
I fell for that bait.
And dreamt I had wet dreams that night.
Her lips curve perfectly
When they diverge, a nice dental formula reaches for my sight.
And I thank God for being in the right place at the right time.
Her nose unlike mine is a kite.
That flys my mind off into space.
I am her astronaut, she's my rocket.
A shield that protects me against this hush life.
She's my everyday blessing.
