My Ethereal Seraph

I was forsaken-
                    lost in lonely memories...
carrying spiritual apathy like a boulder strapped
across my barren chest.
I never could've imagined a man like him could
rescue me from the depths of hell.

Unexpectedly, like an angel he appeared under
the harvest moon.
Crimson and medallion leaves falling under the
glow of Autumn's perpetual marvel.

HE WOULD BE MY ETHEREAL SERAPH

            Instantaneously,
            he became my
            soul-shining
            wonder.

At first I could not begin to comprehend his
adoration for me and my desolated soul.
I was the girl who only dreamed of being loved;
      a fantasy-
  never embracing hope.

I was endlessly lost inside trying to memorize
the charisma of his spellbound eyes-
                    almond doe in shape,
                    deep chestnut in color.
I was hypnotized by the way they looked at
me without judgement or noticing all my flaws
that I saw daily in that old broken mirror my
mother gave me when I was born.
                              (she always was too harsh)

I think of him when the tangerine sun sets at
eventide-
admire his cerulean soul and violet essence of
love...
         forever more.

nights of indigo resound dulcet melodies of thirsting
for his manic desire-
I shall bestow unto him my
      immortal fire of tenderness.

Twenty-two years later and I still wonder how
heaven is since I pilfered him from its beautiful
empyrean Eden.

FOR HE IS MY ETHEREAL SERAPH-
and I am his fallen spirit created
by God to keep him safe and loved.
