My Ease
My favourite place
A small narrow space
Where no distractions are found
Beside poppies red
A tumble down shed
And clover thick on the ground
I relax at ease
With a gentle breeze
cooling the afternoon air
A glass of cold wine
from a cellar fine
A book, and a cushioned chair
What more could one need
A story to read
Let the mind wander and roam
I will while away
That part of the day
Then welcome my family home
