My Drunken Serenade

One night I looked through my peep hole, because I thought I heard someone scream,
Here, it was my drunken neighbor serenading me,
He put a rose on my doorstep, and then he was singing my name,
I shook my head behind the door, this guy is totally insane,
I heard him slurr I love you as I hid behind the door,
The next morning, he waved at me from across the street as if nothing happened the night before!
