My Dreams of Rebecca

In that midst of night slumber I find her once again,
Just as I first found her that one summer day years ago.
Still that most beautiful woman to this day I've ever seen,
Even so this man fell in love with her magnificent spirit.

Sleeping now is my favorite of times on this earth,
For once again I am joined together with my angel.
Yes I do touch her and she me just as if awake,
This woman I idolize letting me enter heaven.

Not many mortals ever allowed to visit such a place,
At least that's what they all tell me when I arrive there.
Then they are all gone and only Rebecca stands before me,
Without her my life would not be worth an effort to breathe.

So I'll dream on now until that last breath sends me to her,
Finally wrapped up in each other's arms through eternity.
My dear friends never ever give up on your true dreams,
For they can take you to that paradise of no waking hour.

"A poem to me is the essence of any thought,
Being built from its foundation into tower scraping sky.
It can fly like no other bird to places never seen,
Even spaceships can only dream of taking its place."
