My Dreams Miss You
My eyes close but my mind never rest
Because you left before you got the chance to tell me the rest
Of the story, so I turn the cover to the warm side, like I'm turning the page
Hoping to find the ending I imagine you would say somewhere between the lines
Because I'm sleeping alone between the sheets
As my mind jumps from seat to seat
Never to sit on one topic
To further remind that I can't sleep when you're not next to me
My heart stays up waiting for you to come home
I can't sleep without you, to do so is to be half of myself
I need you to complete the puzzle by intertwining your legs with mine, running your cold feet on my thigh, resting your arm across my chest
I can't sleep without you, that's why I wake up in the middle of the night
Multiple times, my soul knows you're missing even when my eyes are closed
p.s. hurry back home...
