My Delight
My Delight
A child's first smile, a walk in a park
Cool water on a summers day
A song birds flight, a tasty bite
Good friends that surround me
These are the things that delight me
A cozy fire on a winters night
Holding hands, a lovers kiss
Food on the table, the chicken soup you're making
A well run race, a blistering pace
These are the things that delight me
A dog on a beach, a tasty peach
Good rain, no pain, an on time train
A strangers smile, a flower bright
A sail boat, a coke float, a well told joke
These are the things that delight me
A chance meeting,
old friend greeting, however fleeting
Thunderstorms at night, hard rain on a tin roof
Warm bed, hot coco, a book thats read
These are the things that delight me
A happy dog, a small green frog
Fresh bread, butter thats melting
The smell of rain on an African plain
A mountain spring, a bird that sings
These are the things that delight me
