If I should die, dress me in purple satin
On my neck a string of pearls fasten
Lay upon me roses red
A weeping tear shed
Oh, this I
Dread
Cannot lie
Life is a thread
The end of it, I do dread
Promise, I will not be forgotten

Beautifully written poem in the wonderful form created by Andrea, about a universal fear. Actually there are two fears expressed in your poem - Thanatophobia, the fear of death, and Athazagoraphobia, the fear of being forgotten. All the best in the contest, Broken Wings. ~karam~
